![]() We are very happy to see this in the York Press, and to be able to show what we are doing in Merchantgate with our partner organisations. Thank you Maxine for such a sympathetic piece, and Frank for the pictures. Read all about us here After a couple of delays, we are finally on our way to our new premises in Merchantgate! We will be leaving Club Chambers on Sunday 29th October.

We are doing something a little bit different with our fundraising for our new Community Wellbeing Centre in York.
We are asking people to donate towards our target of £5,000 so that 6 beautiful wedding gowns can be given to nominated brides-to-be who deserve a beautiful gown for their special day. Thank you so much AJ Bridalwear for donating these. You can donate now at https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/pay-it-forward-wedding-gowns The Wedding Guide UK kindly raised some money for us at their annual North of England Wedding Awards on 18th September. After the gala dinner they held a Heads & Tails competition asking the guests to pay £1 each to take part. The proceeds came to over £500.
Our relocation to Merchantgate has been delayed slightly and we will be moving in around the third week middle of October. We will update as soon as we have an exact date.
![]() We did loads of mini massages (not all on the front step!) , ate almost all the cake! And - we still have some bargains (books, clothes, useful things and fun things), and some lovely artwork to sell so pop along and see if you want something. ![]() We had a great opening day! We laughed, sang silly songs, told people of our plans, did mini massages, ate cake, and saw lots of lovely people (some old friends popped in, and some nice new friends appeared too). Thanks so much to Donald Purves, Helen Williams, Adina Misca, Iain Keegan, Molly Spungen, Saffron de Menezes, and Helene Rye for all your hard work and help before, during and after the event. We made £460 for our Relocation Fund! Let's keep it going - we still need plenty more! Thanks to all who bought stuff, donated, joined the Friends of The Healing Clinic and looked at our new project and got as excited about it as we are! Bless you all! And all the good wishes from those who couldn't be there today - it means a lot that you were thinking of us! We still have lots of bargains for you, so do pop down and see if you want anything. List going up on our Facebook page and also see Stuff for Sale in York. |
