Herbal Medicine:
What can it treat?
Professional Herbal Medicine, with herbal medicines
dispensed for the individual patient after a confidential
consultation, can help a wide range of health disorders.
Most illnesses are due to underlying imbalances in
bodily functions; e.g. skin disease can reflect a
sluggish metabolism, poor elimination, inappropriate
diet, nervous irritability or exposure to pollution.
Successful Herbal Medicine treats the whole person
not the disease, the underlying cause not merely the
symptoms.
For example this approach has proved beneficial for
people with: |
Post-viral fatigue
Asthma
High Blood Pressure
Prostate Disorders
Gynecological complaints
Minor Ailments of Pregnancy
Organic Nervous Disorders |
Anaemia
Hepatitis
Cystitis
Depression
Anxiety
Shingles |
Digestive Disorders including
ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome and constipation
Skin Disorders including Acne, Eczema and Psoriasis
Arthritis |

How does it work?
During an initial consultation lasting at least an
hour, I will take a full medical history and conduct
any physical examinations deemed necessary. This will
enable me to make an assessment of which herbal remedies
to mix together to suit your individual needs. The
medicine corrects imbalances and restores vitality
as well as addressing the symptoms you suffer.
In this way I offer you a holistic treatment. I will
see you at a follow-up appointment every 3-4 weeks
to check your progress and change your medicine as
necessary.
All ages can benefit, from 0 to 99+, doses and particular
remedies used being varied accordingly.
Your medicine will be your own personal prescription
and should be treated like other medicines, i.e. stick
to the dosage and do not offer the medicine to others.
How long will it take?
Some patients get better very quickly and only two
or three visits may be necessary.
People with long-standing disorders may need several
months of herbal treatment before a satisfactory improvement
is seen. Each individual is different and will receive
a different herbal regime.
