Robert Williams

Robert Williams is an experienced hypnotherapist based at The Healing Clinic in York. He trained in Advanced Hypnotherapy at the Atkinson-Ball College of Hypnotherapy and Hypnohealing www.abc-hypnotherapy.co.uk (registered with the General Hypnotherapy Register).
Robert’s specific interest lies in helping those with depression, anxiety, alcohol dependence and phobias.
Robert’s referrals include GP’s, North Yorkshire Police, and CAT (Community Addictions Team). Since 2004 he has been working weekly at York Alcohol Advice Service www.yaas.info.
The results of his successful hypnotherapy pilot project at YAAS have been picked up by the local, regional and national press, BBC Radio York, and BBC 'Look North':

Although hypnotherapy forms the basis of his work Robert also incorporates a number of other techniques. He has attended courses in N.L.P. (neuro-linguistic programming), Imagework as a Life Metaphor, Motivational Interviewing, and recently completed a C.B.T. (cognitive behavioural therapy) course at Hull University.
Robert trained as a Samaritan in London in 1995, and has subsequently volunteered in London, Leeds and York. He also worked for the NSPCC for 7 years.
