Lisa Harley
Shiatsu Practitioner
Lisa is a member of the Shiatsu Society and has been studying with the Northern School of Shiatsu since 2006. Lisa practises at the drop-in clinic on alternate Sundays.
Lisa was so impressed after experiencing shiatsu treatments at the clinic that she chose to study shiatsu. This was in 2005 and Lisa is due to complete her finals in April.
Shiatsu is a relaxing treatment and can be beneficial for ailments of a physical or emotional nature including back pain, stress, headaches, whiplash injuries, neck and shoulder stiffness, joint pain, reduced mobility and sports injuries.
Shiatsu is a Japanese word meaning "finger pressure". It uses a number of techniques such as stretches, rocking, pressure and palming. During treatment sessions, the client remains fully clothed (wearing loose fitting clothing), lying on a comfortable mat on the floor.
Treatments can help in a wide range of conditions from specific injuries to more general aches and pains. Regular sessions help to prevent the build-up of stress in our daily lives and assist the body in maintaining good health.
Alternate Sundays - Drop-in 10am – 3pm
