Julian Morgan
Lic.Ac., Dip.TCM, Dip.J.Ac.,
Member of the British Acupuncture Council
My name is Julian Morgan and I practise traditional acupuncture from The Healing Clinic and from my home clinic in the pretty village of Wistow (near Selby) in North Yorkshire. I will also be working from the Beverley Natural Therapy Centre in Beverley in the East Riding of Yorkshire in the near future.
I offer patients a friendly, professional service, treating a broad range of physical and emotional conditions with the benefit of skills developed over 20 years of experience in Oriental medicine. Scroll down for testimonials.
I have been practising acupuncture since graduating from the College of Traditional Acupuncture in 1991. In 1993 I established Blossomfield Traditional Acupuncture Clinic in Solihull (West Midlands) and, after completing post-graduate courses in Traditional Chinese Medicine, I taught at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading. More recently I held a senior teaching position at the Northern College of Acupuncture in York until returning to private practice in 2008.
In 1998, after studying Japanese acupuncture and Meridian Therapy with Dr Stephen Birch and his wife Junko Ida, I decided to specialise in Japanese styles of acupuncture treatment — these being distinctly different in a few key ways from the acupuncture style commonly referred to as "TCM" for Traditional Chinese Medicine, which is the approach most common in modern day China.

Testimonials
"At the beginning of 1999 having been unwell for a few months, I was feeling quite under the weather and had a painful thigh. As someone who had had bilateral hip replacement surgery I was very concerned that something was not right. Despite repeated visits to my G.P. I felt I wasn't being taken seriously and it was clear that I was thought of as a nuisance patient despite gradually feeling more and more ill.
In desperation I decided to seek help elsewhere and booked an appointment with Julian. Not only did he begin a course of acupuncture but after the consultation, spent his own time looking into other possibilities as to how I could get help. He suggested tissue salts, vitamins and herbs I might like to look into to help with my symptoms.
After each treatment I felt better but only briefly, which was not surprising as, with Julian's support, I eventually managed to see a surgeon who discovered that I had a large abscess deep in my thigh. This required emergency surgery. The surgeon told me that within months the infection would flair up again and I would need yet another hip replacement. Julian however was determined to see what he could do to help and together we developed a regime of self-healing care which I combined with receiving acupuncture.
After about a year I had a biopsy taken of my hip which proved the infection was totally gone, something the surgeon had never known to happen before.
To anyone who is considering trying acupuncture but is not quite sure, I would say give it a try as you have nothing to lose and so much to gain."

"I had woken up with an incredibly painful neck which became worse over the next few days becoming tighter and even more painful. I heard about Julian from a very good friend of mine and went to see him. Julian's treatments relieved the pain and tension by working with the root causes of the problem. He also showed me how I could help myself in order to stop the problem reoccurring in future.
I have complete trust in Julian and would recommend him to everybody. Thank you Julian."
